Photography has the gift
to immortalize people
and moments
The 90s: The Beginning At The End of Analog Era
My passion for photography started still in 90's, when I lent a analogue camera of my parents to photograph a school trip. The tour was in a region of environmental preservation, which in itself already aroused my interest, as I have always been a fan of nature.
On this day, together with the camera, I used my first roll of film. The camera was a small Japanese machine, simple and intuitive. Soon I learned to handle it and ended up making some effects that I only discovered when revealing the material: Because I exposed a part of the roll when it was still being used, I created layerss and unexpected textures in some photos, effects today I consider interesting.
At the same time, my brothers and I had fun using my VHS compact camera, where we did recordings with contemporary themes, such as 1998 World Cup, TV programs, and even satirizing movies such as o Titanic.
The years passed until the arrival era of the digital cameras and smathphones, which facilitated my way of expressing through images and register moments. During my late teens, I had contact with people from the audio-visual and getting more interest in the area.
2013-2014: The first projects
On the year of 2013 I did my first jobs as a fashion photography assistant at Shopping Eldorado. I also worked with photography in Walmart campaigns, where I had the opportunity to meet and work in large-scale studios alongside great professionals such as Caroline Barrionuevo, Arthur Vahia and Chiara Gadaleta.
On 2014, i’ve worked on projects with artists in residence at Red Bull Station alongside names such as Glamor Garcia, Mari Veloso, Natália Castro, Alex Cassimiro, the Uruguayan Dani Iumpi, and also a director of photography and winner of Cannes 2019, the Argentinian Augustina Saint Martin.
2015-2017: Shows and Cinematography
This years of 2015 I started to cover several social and cultural events, photographing people like the actress Aline Moraes, Cynthia Falabella, Vivi Orch and Rai Teichimam. I also covered theatre (among them “Flicts”, based on Ziraldo's first book), dance and music spetacles, festivals, as well as the opportunity to travel and photograph countries like Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia.
In 2017 I graduated in Cinematography at the International Cinema Academy, acquiring knowledge alongside great professors such as André Moncaio, Marcelo Rodriguez and Monica Palazzo.
2018-2019: Arts and Book Biennial
The year 2018 brought my first photographic exhibition, held in II Biennial of Arts of Ouvidor 63, with the theme Other Possible Worlds. During the immersion in this laboratory, we created the photobook The Delirious Space under the eyes of the artists involved in the project, among them Rose Steinmetz, artist born in Georgia, the illustrator and photographer from Pará Rafael Tomaz and also Chris The Red, Oscar Steiner, Meire Ramos,Erica Esso, Cintia Risoli and the actor Valter Machado, all carried out in what is the biggest artistic occupation of the Latin America.
On 2019 the collection is born Tiny Voices, a delicate work where I delve into photography macro, capturing small details of the nature, often unnoticed by the ever-hurried human gaze.
2020 - CURRENTLY: Studio and Producer
At the beginning of 2020 I also opened my photographic studio bases in São Paulo, where I carry out rehearsals, hold project meetings and also artistic meetings.
Throughout these almost 10 years as a professional, I have been weaving my work in audiovisual language, involving photography and video direction, social photography, portraits, still, architecture, events and spectacles, kids, nature, lifestyle and travel, always believing that photography has the gift of immortalizing people and moments.
